Can I take the Washington permit test online?
No. The actual Washington knowledge test must be taken in person at an approved testing location. Washington DOL does provide an online practice test for studying.
What should I bring to the Washington DOL office?
You will need acceptable documents proving your identity and your Washington Driver License (WDL) number. You must provide your Social Security number if you have one, or sign a declaration if you do not. Applicants under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian and may need documents showing their relationship.
What happens if I fail?
